Time Capsule

Difficulty: Easy

Parental supervision is recommended

Collecting for this simple kid's time capsule provides memories and fun, all in one. It's a great way to spend New Year's Day.

What you'll need:

  • 1 big envelope
  • Markers or crayons
  • Coins
  • Stamps
  • Pictures of yourself

How to make it:

  1. The first thing you should do is get out your big envelope -- this is the capsule. Write your name in big letters and the
year, then you can draw as many pictures as you want on it.
It's nice when you make it colorful -- it makes it jolly.
  2. Find old pictures of yourself. The oldest coins and stamps
you can find are nice. You can always put in baseball cards,
hockey cards, etc. You can also write what you think the world
will be like in the year 2005 or put in some newspaper articles --
anything really but not anything too delicate.
  3. Seal it up and don't open it for a long, long time. The
longer you wait the more fun it is. Try to wait at least
    one year!
