Voltorb and Electrode Fan

This reversible, corrugated plastic kids' Pokemon fan is a great way to stay cool and impress your friends this summer. Two sides are better than one!
What you'll need:
- Red corrugated plastic
- White corrugated plastic
- Black "Painters" paint marker
- White "Painters" paint marker
- Extremely sharp scissors
- Popsicle stick
- Pen or pencil
- 5" circular item to use for a pattern (margarine lid)
- Scotch brand super-strength Mounting Tape
- Tacky glue
How to make it:
- Using the circular object for a pattern, trace a circle on the red corrugated plastic. Make the circle about 5" in diameter, although any size will do.
- Cut out the red circle with the extremely sharp scissors.
- Using the circular object for a pattern, trace a circle on the white corrugated plastic. Make the circle about 5" in diameter, although any size will do.
- Cut out the white circle with the extremely sharp scissors.
- Cut the white circle in half. Note: Make sure that the lines on the red corrugated plastic are vertical so that you can put the Popsicle stick through it when you are finished.
- Attach one half circle of white on top of the red circle with the mounting tape. (see photo)
- Flip the red circle (fan) over onto the back and attach the other half circle of white on the bottom of the red circle with the mounting tape. (see photo)
- Draw the eyes on the upper white half circle with the black paint marker.
- Draw the triangular mouth on the lower red half circle with the white paint marker.
- Let the marker dry for a few minutes.
- Flip the fan over.
- Draw the eyes on the upper red half circle with the white paint marker.
- Draw the features around the eyes with the black paint marker.
- Draw the little features on the lower white half circle with the black paint marker.
- Let the marker dry for a few minutes.
- Using your sharp scissors, cut up a small way on the inside of the red corrugated plastic to make it easier to insert the Popsicle stick.
- Add tacky glue to the end of the stick and push up inside the tomato.
- Enjoy your really cool fan. Note: You can use hot glue if you are wanting the project to dry immediately for the child to use. If using tacky glue, allow to dry overnight.
Tips:
You can also use regular cardboard and paint it if you can't get corrugated plastic, but it won't be as durable.
Corrugated plastic is made by several manufacturers. It is known as Stratocore or Coreplast, along with other names.
