Glamorous Snow Girls

These snow girls are all glamour. Little girls (and boys too!) will love sticking together and decorating Styrofoam balls to make their own gorgeous figurine that can be displayed on its own stand. A perfect and easy indoor winter project that can also be used for a Christmas decoration or Valentine’s Day craft.
What you'll need:
- Toothpicks (at least two)
- White craft glue
- Four-inch, three-inch and two-and-a-half inch Styrofoam balls
- Odd stud or dangling earrings (approx. 10 or more)
- Shank buttons (the kind with a loop on the back)
- Colored ball straight pins (approx. 10 or more)
- Craft feather boa and hair bow
- Ribbons and trims
- Kid’s sock (preferably a colorful one)
- Scissors
- Two-inch flat lid
How to make it:

Dip the end of a toothpick in glue and press it half way into the large Styrofoam ball.

Cover the other end of the toothpick with glue and press the three-inch ball over the toothpick to join the two balls together. Attach the third ball in the same way to build the snow girl.

Press the earrings and shank buttons into the snow girl to create a face and give her earrings and buttons.

Use the straight pins to attach accessories such as a hair bow and a boa wrap.

The make a hat for the snow girl cut a five-inch piece from the toe of the sock. Roll the cut edge up to form a brim for the hat. Decorate with trim.

To make a stand for the snow girl rub glue around the edge of the lid and press the bottom of the snow girl down on the lid.
Tips:
Tips to save. Cards of stud earrings with some missing are often available and inexpensive, especially after the holidays. You do not need all matching earrings for this project.
Make her sparkle. To make the snow girl sparkle, cover the balls with a thin layer of glue then sprinkle with white or clear glitter. Let the snow girl dry on a Styrofoam tray.
Get creative and make it for the holidays. Make this glamour girl suitable for Christmas or any holiday by adding red and green glitter or whatever suits the holiday. For Valentine’s, you could suit her up with hearts and sparkles.
