Create jewelry that's fun to make and beautiful to wear with these clay bead necklaces. These are wonderful crafts for kids to make for their friends and the candy mold shapes add a dash of whimsy.
What you'll need:
- Self-hardening clay
- Candy molds
- Paint
- Beads
- Nylon thread
- Jewelry necklace clasp finding
- Toothpick
How to make it:
- Prepare the clay according to instructions on packet.
- Put pieces of the clay into the clean candy molds.
- When the clay is a little hard, take it out of the mold
and drill a hole though the top with the toothpick. - Let the clay pieces dry completely.
- Once the pieces are dried, remove from mold and paint
any color you like. After the paint dries you might want
to spray the clay pieces with an acrylic spray. - String the clay pieces with the other beads onto the
thread. Tie on the jewelry clasp. Enjoy wearing!
