Description:

CYBERSENSE AND NONSENSE stars the Three CyberPigs, Les, Mo and Lil, in a second online adventure. In their first adventure, Privacy Playground, the CyberPigs learned to protect their personal privacy on the Internet.

This time, they explore the world of online chat rooms. Les gets himself into trouble by 'flaming' Wolfie in the Skateboarders' Club Chat Room. It gets worse when he finds sites filled with hate progaganda, and believes what they say.

Join Les in learning to distinguish between biased, prejudicial information and factual, objective information on the Internet. Find out about the accepted online code of conduct 'netiquette', and that information isn't necessarily true, just because it's on the Internet.

Answer the cyberquiz to show how well you understand these concepts. Reading is required.

The game is accompanied by an online Teachers Guide for use at home or in the classroom. The guide reviews the sequences in the game, gives background information on the issues of cyber-hate and netiquette, and provides related pre and post-game activities, along with printable student handouts.

This version of the game is free to download for testing purposes. It is a big download. Another version of CyberSense and Nonsense will be available soon in CD-ROM format. Visit their website for more information.

This game is also available in French.
