FREE LIGHT JAPANESE DEMO Learn Japanese writing systems (Hiragana, Katakana and 1945 Jouyou Kanji), vocabulary and pronunciation. The demo has 2 exercises - a New Year's scene with children playing, and a traffic scene on a highway by the ocean. Click on one of the numbers in either scene to learn how to pronounce and write the items in Japanese. Beside Hiragana and Katakana (phonetic letters of Japanese origin), you can learn the most important Kanji characters (ideographic letters of Chinese origin). Each Kanji can be reached by 4 different methods: component, number of strokes, pronunciation and English meaning. Learn Hiragana or Katakana by drawing characters with the mouse and the computer will recognize your handwriting (set levels to Easy, Medium or Hard).
