The Robot takes numbers with one hand and gives the answers with another. There are buttons to put in input numbers (1-20) and functions (adding or subtracting between 1 and 9).

Press ? to generate a question, e.g. 5+8. Enter the answer and then press RUN to see if the Robot agrees. He makes clicks and whirls as he works it out.

The function can be hidden or shown. Worksheets can be printed for follow up work, to ask for missing answers and missing functions. They are appealing with the calculations presented in the Robot function machine.
