HEARTS DELUXE DEMO This is the traditional game of Hearts. The objective is to avoid taking a trick which contains a Heart or (much worse) the Queen of Spades. Each Heart gives 1 point and the Queen 13. The winner is whoever has the least points once an objective (set between 50 and 1000) is reached by any player. Pick computer players - the demo gives a choice of Jen/Jet/Hal or the Canine crew (3 dogs of course). There are 3 skill levels for computer opponents in the registered version, but they are all at the lowest level for the demo. Pick an outside view from a set of choices like Alps or Cityscape. There are also a variety of options in game rules, for example the rule by which the 2 of clubs starts. Start the game by passing 3 cards. For the first game pass left, then right, then across, and there is no passing for every 4th game. During play, high cards take tricks. When a suit is void, any card including Hearts and the Queen of Spades can be played. The computer players make comments during play - one of the dogs growls and another says things like 'Bit by the hand that fed me'. This is a lot of fun - it's a great card game for kids who want to try something a bit harder than Fish or Crazy Eights!
