Description:
KALAHA is a board game based on a 7000 years old game from Egypt, similar to Mancala. The small circular pits are called ambo. The large oval pits are called kalaha. There are 2 rows of 6 ambo - each player has one row and also one kalaha. The game starts with between 3 and 6 (number is a game option) balls in each ambo. To play, click on one of your ambo. This seeds all of its balls counter-clockwise, one in each ambo (including your kalaha, but not your opponent's). If the last ball ends up in an empty ambo on your side, it captures any balls in the opposite ambo. The game is over when one player has no balls left in their ambo. Then their opponent gets to place remaining balls in their kalaha - the one with the most balls wins. There are detailed online instructions for the game.
