KALI lets you draw symmetrical patterns based on any of the 17 tiling groups. It is suitable both for young children and for older geometry students, who can systematically explore the wallpaper, frieze and rosette groups. The Apple menu has help on using the program.

Pick background color, drawing color, and a tile pattern. Then click on the main window and move the mouse to see a kaleidoscope of tiling effects. Double click to freeze a pattern, which can then be printed. Fascinating for the geometry student or just for fun!
