KIDS ARCADE PAK DEMO

This demo has 5 games in one! They are Gumballs, Macman Kid, Diamonds for Kids, Peg Leg for Kids and Garlic Press Pinball. Read the Help information for each game to understand which keys are the defaults as controls. In some cases, there is also a Settings command to personalize them.

The objective in Gumballs is to get 3 or more gumballs in a horizontal or vertical row - then they go poof! The 'j', 'k' and 'l' keys are used to shift the stack from right to left and to change the order of the colors. The space bar is used to drop them. It's like a simple form of Tetris and the slow speed (there are 3 rates) is great for younger kids and the arcade challenged!

Guide Macman Kid through the mazes, munching on dots and other yummies and avoiding ghosts - except that after eating an energizer, Macman Kid gets to chase the ghosts and eat them too! The ghosts flash when they are edible. Diamonds for Kids is another multi-level game. Bricks must be cleared first and then diamonds. Arrow keys are used to control movement. In higher levels, hit the color change block to set the color of your ball, and get all the blocks of different colors. Avoid deadly blocks which destroy the ball (there are several balls per game).

Peg Leg for Kids is a fun space shooter. It did not start from the Arcade Pak game in the download, but the individual games were also in a separate folder - just open that and double click on Peg Leg to get it going. Shoot stars from a little spaceship at various objects. Some objects explode into smaller ones when hit - avoid running into any of them or else your spaceship explodes! And don't shoot the supply packages - pick them up by running your ship over them.

Garlic Press Pinball uses 'z' and '/' keys to control the paddles - the reactions of the animated garlic bulbs are very cute to watch!

After quitting the games, a screen shows an 800 number for registration. These are wonderful arcade games for younger kids - the same features but slowed down and with easier controls. Thanks to Cathy Flick for telling us about them!
