MANCALA 2000 is a computer version of the ancient gem collecting game. Play against the computer or a friend. Pick a fair, good or the best computer opponent. Try to gather as many gems as possible before your opponent clears theirs.

There are 2 rows of 6 bins - each player has one row and also the large bin or mancala on the right. The game starts with between 3 and 6 (number is a game option) gems in each bin.

To play, take all the gems in one of the small bins and seed them clockwise, one in each bin to the right (including your own mancala, but not your opponent's). Take another turn if the last gem ends up in your mancala. If the last gem ends up in an empty bin on your side, it captures any gems in the opposite bin.

The game is over when one player has no gems left in their small bins. Then their opponent gets to place remaining bin gems in their mancala - the one with the most gems wins. The rules are detailed in the game information accessible via the Apple menu.

This is an unusual and puzzling strategy game!
