ON THE EDGE should end up with all face cards (Kings, Queens and Jacks) in designated squares on the outside of a 4 x 4 playing grid. Other cards (1 to 9) sometimes end up there in play, but need to be removed before the space is needed for a face card.

In each play, all the spaces are filled with cards and then cards that add up to 10 are removed (any combination of 1, 2 or 3 cards). The game is won when all face cards are in their designated squares. The game is lost when a face card is drawn, but cannot be placed because all its designated spaces are full.

The idea is simple, but it's very hard to win!
