Smart Move is an educational tool that presents itself as a cross-country race. Players propel themselves by correctly answering questions from a variety of topics. Smart Move is being used in schools across the country. Here's a recent description from Ziff-Davis in the 3/96 Threads magazine.

"It may be a long way to St. Louis, but you can play your way right to it. Smart Move is a nicely-done United States geography game. It presents itself as an animated board game with up to four players demonstrating their knowledge in any number of included topics. A roll of the dice determines how far you get to travel (if you answer correctly), and what topic your question will be. Options abound, such as choosing map and/or multiple-choice based questions, running in learning, practice or game mode, and setting the smarts of the computer player(s). "

Smart Move comes with a Quiz Editor, so you can create your own quizzes on any topic. The unregistered version of Smart Move will recognize only the first 25 questions in a quiz regardless of its advertised size. You can get above this ceiling by taking a free, limited-time test drive of Smart Move's full registered version. Complete instructions are included with your Smart Move application download (and no involvement by anyone else is required).

Users are encouraged to share their quizzes - and they are posted on the Smart Move Site so that others can download them too.
