Help hungry treefrogs eat bugs and critters which emerge from behind a tree. Match frogs with bugs by matching Italian words or phrases on the bugs to the corresponding English meanings on the frogs. Click on the frog and then on the bug. Frogs hop and ribbet with delight when they get the right one.

Keep eating fast, because there are hungry fish swimming around in the pond with the frogs, and these fish like to eat the frog tadpoles. The more bugs you eat, the more tadpoles you get. Eat a lot of bugs to stay ahead of the fish. This lets a tadpole turn into a new frog and you go up a level of play.

Game levels have different types of bugs, frogs and background images. Change the kinds of bugs, how big they are and how many there are at any time. When you quit the application there is the option to save a study list to disk. This includes words encountered in the game - those which caused difficulty are flagged with 1-3 *'s.

It is possible to create a vocabulary lesson file to use instead of the built-in dictionary. This is simply a text document with between 12 and 100 Italian and corresponding English words separated by special characters, for example 'aperto$open'.
