UNIFIX DEMO helps to make the connection between concrete hands-on experiences and abstract math concepts. It is used for exploration to develop number sense and to understand basic mathematical operations. It includes on-screen Unifix cubes. PICT files from KidPix or ClarisWorks can be used as backgrounds. The Goodies menu provides colored and beach backgrounds as well.

The demo includes the following functions. Cube puts news cubes of selected colors on the screen. They can be added singly or clicked into other cubes to make sets. Hand moves objects and the Magic Wand erases them. Get 2 Sets draws 2 set rings on the screen, and Set Numbers labels each set with the number of cubes in it. 'A' switches to an alphanumeric palette of blocks, labelled with characters, numbers and mathematical symbols. Double click on the demo download to unpack and install it.

The full program has many more features for set manipulation, printing and production of worksheets, as well as both Spanish and English menus. It comes with a teacher's manual and 100 Unifix cubes.
