ELIXIR is a two player board game with simple rules. Each player tries to capture territory, at the same time blocking his opponent's advances.

El-ixir is played on a 14 x 14 square board. On every turn, each player has a choice of 1 out of 4 squares, selected by the computer. Pick a square then pick a direction and your color fills in between 1 and 4 (random choice) squares in that direction.

The objective is to get at least one of the 4 corner squares, as any square connected to a corner square counts towards your score. Surround any of your opponent's squares to take them over. The winner is the player with the most squares connected to a corner. Don't get discouraged if you don't have a corner square early on - position carefully and it's possible to win even late in the game!

We have been playing El-ixir with the kids for years - it's great fun and a good way to develop problem solving and strategy skills!
