EXPLORING THE SUN

Uses images from NASA, NOAA, and NSO to explore our Sun with pictures. It includes Basic Sun information, two science experiments and a multiple choice test. The information presented is made interesting by actual photo images of the Sun.

There are timed quizzes (the timer can be turned off). Learn by answering questions, and then checking the correct answer on topics like the parts of the Sun, how it works, Solar activity and the Sun's effect on the Earth. Try the science projects to find Solar cycles, or observe and chart eclipses. Answer questions related to exploring the Sun, and find out about Spectroscopy, Helioseismology and Doppler shift.
