HENGE is a game of skill and luck, that will have you moving stones around all day. Its object is to remove pairs of stones until they are all gone. The stones are light or dark and richly decorated with subtle Celtic designs. They lie in elegant piles on the grass at Stonehenge.

Stones of the same color and pattern can be removed from the same side of the pile. The same pattern and different colors are removed from opposite sides. Stones may even be removed from underneath the edges of other stones. Stones in the layer below can be glimpsed, which allows planning ahead. Undo works by clicking on the grass.

There are 12 game layouts - only the first is available in the shareware version but it can be played repeatedly as the pattern of stones changes. A stone in the lower right provides help, including an indication of whether a selected stone can be removed. Clicking on the left of the screen for options did not seem to work consistently, but this may have just been slow.

I found the sound effects relaxing - birdsong and wind - and the graphics excellent. An intriguing and challenging game!
