LITTLE FINGERS CLASSROOM SERIES includes individual lessons developed to aid in strengthening students' skills in grades K to 5. Each lesson covers a specific area of learning with a tutorial section as well as a quiz section for practice. Many of the lessons include an editor to allow teachers or parents to enter their own lesson content. Little Finger's Classroom Series is divided into 4 volumes according to grade level. Volume 1 is aimed at kids in preschool to grade 1 and includes 6 lessons. Volume 2 is aimed at grade 2 and has 7 lessons. Volume 3 is aimed at grade 3 - there are 8 lessons. Volume 4 also has 8 lessons and is aimed at grades 4 to 5. Many lessons also have editable content, for example Spell It Right, Fact or Opinion and Problem Solving. Editable content means that a new set of problems can be added to the lesson. Start at the main title screen of the lesson, hold down the Command key (Mac) or the Control key (PC) and click on the lesson title. This starts the lesson editor, which allows you to add any number of problems (and their solutions) to the lesson module. Instructions in the lessons are given in a child's voice and are clear and simple. Errors are indicated by an alert tone and repeated errors result in the answer being displayed. The graphics, music, sounds and animal instructors are all fun and engaging! The Little Fingers Classroom series has been designed in a flexible manner, with volumes of individual lessons aimed at different grade levels. In addition, for those lessons with 'editable content', it provides the very powerful capability of extending the lesson by adding new problem sets, and of adjusting the language and difficulty of those problems to meet the needs of a particular group of students.
