Description:

Finally, players have a say in who goes and who stays! In this interactive baseball game, the swing is not the only thing players must perfect. "Baseball 2001" offers us the option of changing the team. Not only do we get to control the players on the field, but we also have the option to trade out a player who isn't working out.

Play ball! Many players will need to refer to the help manual to understand all of the options and controls. There are numerous commands, and the complex plays can be confusing. We tried to hop right onto the field and drive a ball into the outfield with the space bar, but the keyboard controls were also a little unusual. After a bunch of strikes and pop fouls, we managed to figure out the "D" swings the bat and players can aim with the arrow keys.

This file is enormous, but those who dare to download will see why. The graphics are excellent and there are a lot of available options.

The controls are far too complex for small children, so the appropriate age range would be 10 and up.
