This 21 page color Educator's Resource Guide for grades 3-4 is in PDF format. It provides background information and learning activities for student participation in the NASA Student Involvement Program (NSIP) competition for 2000-2001.

There are sample studies of a Woodland Pond and a Desert Site. Learning activities include 'Soil and my Backyard' and 'From Mud Pies to Bricks'. There is also an Observation Log for recording student observations and questions.
