Oz Ecology is a colourful, interactive tutorial on Australian ecosystems. Digitized photographs highlight plant and animal adaptations, abiotic factors and distribution patterns within three ecosystems - Rainforest, Rock Platform and Sand Dune.

Pick one of the ecosystems from the main screen. A picture of the area is shown along with a dozen icons. Click on one of these (only 3 per area work in the demo) for a detail photo and information on that item. Click on Glossary for definitions of terms. Quiz mode requires dragging pictures to their matching descriptions.

The Rock Platform (by the sea) has environmental information, for example on Tides, Temperature and Abiotic factors. Or click on Food Web and then move organisms, like the starfish, into an aquarium to see who eats who - the number of times you can do this is limited in the demo. Then fill in the Food Web on the screen.
