This game is a great way to keep kids from fighting over the only computer. Three different kids can get on the keyboard, and yet another can grab the mouse for several levels of freeware fun!

This arcade assigns each kid a color: red, yellow, green, or blue. Gamers must move their kid character around the board coloring as much space as possible. The characters will soon have trails all over the board, with other colors snaking right through the middle! There are bonuses, like speed, time, and paint bombs for the kid with the quickest reaction. The kid with the most colored squares at the end wins!

Some kids may have a hard time controlling the movement, but would probably adjust with seat rotation. Since some characters are contolled by keyboard, and the other is controlled by a mouse, taking turns might be in order to assure everything stays "fair".

For such a small, simple program, this is a great hit with our 5-year-old tester! (And her mommy.) The program runs in DOS, and would probably do well on many older machines. The file is tiny, the age group is large, there are several levels, and up to four children can play. This is a fun game for a group, and would work well in preschool or kindergarten. At it's exceptional freeware cost, "Painters" gets a great big GOLD from Kids Domain!
