PASO PARTNERS BILINGUAL INSTRUCTION (K) These are documents in PDF format. They contain lesson sets aimed at kindergarten students - Five Senses, Spiders and Dinosaurs. There are also Spanish versions - Los Cinco Sentidos, Las AraŅas, Los Dinosauros. There is background information and suggested reading as well as activities in language arts, mathematics and science. For example the Dinosaurs document includes an activity (Dinosaur Weapons) to assess which body parts of dinosaurs were used for defense, and another (Shake and Spill) to count male and female dinosaur eggs. These are part of 'Integrating Mathematics, Science and Language: An Instructional Program', a bilingual curriculum and resources guide developed by Paso Partners. The resource is designed to help elementary school teachers organize their classrooms and instructional activities in order to increase achievement of Hispanic primary-grade children whose first language is not English.
