Star Wars Episode 1 Pit Droids Demo
Published by Lucas Learning

Age Group: Age 4 to 8, Age 8 and Up
Type: Thinking Games
License: Free demo

Description:

The surly junk trader Watto obtained a shipload full of droids and now they're wandering all over the place. Head them to where they belong, and don't let them crash into each other!

There are 7 puzzles in the demo, at increasing levels of difficulty. Pick one of them, press the button to lay out a grid, and then start putting arrows in position, to direct those droids around obstacles and each other. Need help? Click on R2-D2 and then on any object for an explanation.

The pause and rewind buttons are very useful, to give yourself time to think or undo a mistake. Misplaced an arrow? Just click on it and drag it to a new position. Colored arrows only direct droids of the same color, but white arrows direct all droids.

The full game has 8 levels and over 300 puzzles, along with the ability to customize your own and participate in an online puzzle exchange. It's a LARGE DOWNLOAD - be sure you have enough disk space, and it is only recommended for those with high speed net connections.

I downloaded this for the kids, but tried it myself first and had a lot of fun working out puzzles before they found me playing and took over. The 7 demo puzzles provide a range of challenges for all ages!
