READING CONCEPTS SET A Advance your skills in different aspects of reading and understanding. Work on Vocabulary, Sequence, Main Idea, Fact or Opinion, Factual Recall and Inference. Pick a topic area and then take a diagnostic test to determine your reading level in that area. Tests cover grade 3 to grade 8 reading levels. Start answering questions at the skill level determined by the test. Each level has at least 4 questions. Answer them correctly to progress through the levels. After each correct answer, make a move in a 4x4 game, which is very like Connect 4 - try to beat the computer! This provides excellent practice in very specific issues, like sequencing of ideas or drawing inferences from a text. I especially like the fact that initial level is tested in each topic area, so that you can work independently on areas of strength and weakness.
