VOCABULARY MASTER is available in Spanish, French, Latin, German, Italian, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Irish and English (for Spanish speakers).

I tried the French download, which works with English and French words. Start by selecting amongst 40 categories of word lists, including Animals (30 words), Basic Verbs (97) and School (36). Then look over a list of words and their translations, or work with the flash cards.

Start with either English or French. A word comes up on the flash card. Either type in the translation and have your answer corrected, or say the answer to yourself and then 'turn over' the flash card - the program will ask if you were right.

Vocabulary Master isolates any words causing difficulty so you don't waste time repeating words you already know. It also allows customization of new lists of words, and tracks progress.
