Army Men

The popular generation-spanning plastic Army Men is now available on Game Boy Color. Take control of Sarge in a battle against the Tan Army. Start out in Boot Camp to receive training in the various types of weaponry and in the use of vehicles. Strategy and use of various weaponry aids in the successful completion of the mission. Use the flamethrower and melt your opponents.

There are 20 missions in which Sarge must defeat the Tan Army. There are 7 different weapons and 2 vehicles in which you can maneuver. Your mission can fail when Sarge dies, the Tan Army wins, or if you exceed the time limit for the particular mission. Write down the password after you complete each mission to enable you to restart the level.

Army Men differs from many other combat games as the enemy is plastic toy soldiers rather than depicting real life. The violence, therefore, is not as real as in other games. The violence is still present in the game, although in animated form.

Army Men takes you from Basic Training (Boot Camp), giving detailed instructions on a variety of weaponry and the use of vehicles. Mission Briefing has two campaigns, Desert and Alpine. Mission failure happens when the time limit is exceeded, the enemy wins, or Sarge dies.
