Platform: Game Boy Color
ESRB Rating: E - Everyone

Looney Tunes boasts a variety of styles, but is primarily concerned focused on platform gaming. Each level features one of the Looney Tunes as the main character, each which is instantly recognisable and nicely detailed. Aside from the platforming elements of the games, there's a Porky Pig shoot 'em up, a spinning Taz bonus game and a Road Runner stage where you try to avoid various hazards whilst running rather quickly.

The platform parts of the game are generally well executed with Bugs and company facing traditional challenges for this genre. Every once in a while there's a boss character to be dispatched, all of whom are instantly recognisable from the cartoons. My only complaint is that there are one or two sections of the game where the difficulty level is slightly too high. There's a series of tiny platforms which you have to negotiate with Speedy Gonzalos which are ludicrously difficult to get across! Still, these rare problems only crop up in the later levels and don't detract that much from the overall quality of the game.

Looney Tunes benefits massively from the Gameboy Color system. The characters and levels all look vibrant and are well detailed. Overall, Looney Tunes is a great addition to the ever-growing library of Gameboy Color games and should be picked up by fans of platformers everywhere. Kids will particularly enjoy it because of the strong use of Bugs and friends.
