While we actually enjoyed the gameplay, the game seems harder than it should be because a direct hit kills you. You can 'continue' at the beginning of that section, but it's actually quite a challenge to get past all the enemy guards to the metal slug. You'll find all the usual power-ups, weapons, and a slug flyer that'll make you VERY happy with the NeoGeo's built-in joystick.
