Remember Paper Boy? Well, he just quit his job delivering newspapers, bought a Razor scooter and is freestyling his way around the 'hood. Or is it just some kid that looks like him!.

Razor Freestyle Scooter looks and plays a lot like the old Paper Boy. The basic premise is that of a kid on wheels riding the streets, dodging pesky things like cars, toys, soccer balls, dogs, etc. The differences are that one, he's not throwing newspapers, and two, he gets to perform cool tricks while jumping over things. There are four modes of play, Championship, Tricks, Racing and Multiplayer with seven different tracks. In Championship, players will get points based on who finished first and how many tricks they did. Coins can also be collected here allowing upgrades to be purchased in the Shop. Racing allows you to choose your track and play alone, Tricks moves through the seven levels in order with set goals of tricks to accomplish, and multiplayer allows two people to play with a link cable. There is a password save function, but the password is so long it's clumsy.

This game is cute, fun and not too difficult to play, which makes it ideal for beginning Game Boy stunters. However, this same ease of play may pall on more experienced gamers. We're enjoying it at our house, as we're not very coordinated players and so appreciate games that don't tax us too much. (We liked Paper Boy, too). A good choice for kids!
