Samba De Amigo

Ola! Amigo is a sombreroed, maraca shaking monkey who stars in Samba De Amigo, a popular dance arcade hit now available for the Sega Dreamcast. This party/puzzle game offers dance and Latin music and is very versatile - it can be played by one or two players and includes five "mini-games" as well as various types of difficulty stages to test rhythm and speed. The object is to use the gamepad as maracas, touching the buttons in the correct order, timed to the beat.

Another option that makes this game sooo much fun is the maraca controllers, which are available separately for $79.99. It is actually much easier to play this game with the maracas than on the gamepad and we all had a great time hopping around trying to get it right. Each song is broken by mini pose challenges in which players try to strike the same pose as is on the screen. It's more difficult than it sounds!

The Internet option allows players to download additional songs through the VMU (although there are oodles of popular dance and Latin tunes on the program) so it won't possibly get boring. Now excuse me, please - there's a PARTY going on here! ;)
