Wave Racer 64

First of all, Wave Racer 64 isn't your normal racing game. Most racers
are very similar and are basically the same, with differences only in graphics,
sound, and so on(with the exception of Wipeout and Destruction Derby, very
different games). WR64 is nothing like the other racers. Instead of land,
it uses water, so you know they won't be using your normal vehicles. With
4 different jet skis and a dolphin hidden in there (do all the stunts in
Dolphin Park, (stunt mode) go through all the rings, and hold down when
choosing your character for warm-up), there is a lot of playability. One
of the biggest plusses are the tracks, as not one of them resembles another.
Anywhere from a city at night to a track in the arctic, these tracks are
the best I've seen from a racer. Another great thing is the control. The
analogue stick is a dream. All the stunts can be done very easily (considering
you have the right speed and angle and press the buttons correctly).
To say it simply, this game is great for racing fans, and even people
who absolutely hate racing games(me). Everything one could find fault with
in the average racer is missing. The turbo is implemented very well (you
speed up every time you pass a bouy correctly, and go down to normal when
you miss one). If you are looking for a game with some longevity, pick
this one up and get wet in the realm of replay value.
