World's Scariest Police ChasesReviewed by Cindy CaldwellPublished by Activision Platform: PlayStation ESRB Rating: E - Everyone
Once you are finished with your training enter Free Patrol mode and cruise the city for bad guys, learning the layout of the roads and alleyways, and apprehend the perps to earn points. The more you catch the higher your score, watch that they don't escape or it will affect your score. Pursuit mode is the main part of the game, after completing training and cruising you are ready to be assigned a mission. Sign in for duty, choose a mission and remember to look for evidence which can be acquired by driving over the evidence, or, if you come across a bomb that needs to be disarmed, pull the cruiser next to it. You are also allowed to carry a weapon. Do not shoot randomly, you may hit a civilian which will result in mission failure. After a mission is complete you will be debriefed with the results of the mission. Do a good job and earn a commendation! Although I have not personally played the game (I did try but could not get through training because I kept smashing up my car), I have watched my children play for hours and listened to the police sirens, which eventually got on my nerves. As a spectator I found the game to be repetitious. Not something I would be interested in playing, but the children seem to enjoy playing it over and over again. I guess I am not the target audience :D | |||||||||||||||||||||
