AAAAAAAAAaaaarrrrgh! My apologies to you all. Over the past few months, I've mentioned several times that Creative Wonders has been planning a new Babysitter's Club release. It's finally here, BUT it's not new material.

Creative Wonders has re-tooled the BSC Friendship Kit that was released this time last year. Other than changing the name and packaging, I can't tell they're any different. Their PR office assures me there are "additional activities" but after an afternoon of looking at the first release and now this one, I can't tell it.

So why did this happen? Well, last year Philips Media issued the BSC Friendship Kit and we reviewed it - here. Philips went out of the games business and Creative Wonders bought the options to this title.

My main concern is that parents and kids will think this is a NEW release and go spend the money, only to arrive home with the same one they had! If you already have a copy of it, that would be a waste.

And to Ray and his disappointed-be-daughter: No, they didn't change the screen size. It still insists on having 640x480x256 and I switched over to it, manually.

Now to tell you what I REALLY think! Companies are in a feeding frenzy over girl's software. Now go figure, this will likely be elaborated on in the editorial space.
