Description:

Barbie Pet Rescue takes place at the Pet Rescue Center, where Barbie and her sister Stacie work together to find and care for lost pets. The animals respond like real pets and there are games and activities to play. Kids will have a great time helping Barbie find the puppies, kittens and bunnies, I know this because the kids in our neighborhood have been spellbound as they watch it play out.

Technical Aspects:

We had no problems running this program on our Pentium III-500Mhz system, but our older Pentium II-300Mhz was another story. We've experienced several crashes and freezes on the older machine and the audio is choppy. However, after doing some routine maintenance, these problems seem to have cleared up.

Report and Conclusions:

The kids in our neighborhood range from 5 to 8 years and they all agree that Barbie Pet Rescue is a good time. In fact, one of the girls came through the door the other day and I heard, "Hi, Annie - like your haircut. Can we play Barbie Pet Rescue on the computer now?" Dad was quietly using the system and had to give up his Mahjong game to let them at it. If your child loves Barbie, this will be a program they won't want to miss.
