Description:

Humongous has struck gold with Blue's Treasure Hunt for kids ages 3-6!!! The 2-disc CD-ROM set is packed with fun and possesses the ability to teach your child fundamental skills in a variety of areas. Watch your children's skills increase as they problem solve with Blue and Steve.

THE GOAL

The ultimate goal of Blue's Treasure Hunt is to enter the Land of Great Discovery. Getting there will require that your child complete three different treasure hunts in sequence. Each hunt requires children to find three scrolls that will lead them to the treasure chest, and collect and share 2-3 objects to find all three Blue's Clues. Solve Blue's Clues and obtain the key to give to Treasure Bug to open the chest. When the third chest is unlocked the door to the Land of Great Discovery will open where even more treasure awaits.

ACTIVITIES

There are eleven different activities to explore as kids play Blue's Treasure Hunt.

Disc 1: What is Paprika's Most Treasured Thing? directs kids to catch falling leaves for Green Kitten's school bulletin board, help Spatula and Blue fix jumbled museum paintings and create bedtime stories for Paprika.

What is Mailbox's Most Treasured Thing? will encourage children to explore Mary's garden in search of numbers for the Hickory Dickory Dock clock, and help Shovel and Pail match pictures to letters to mail to friends. Kids can also listen to and play Blue's Clues songs (an interactive keyboard makes this one a real hit).

Disc 2: What is Magenta's Most Treasured Thing? requires kids to arrange photos in the correct order, help Orange Kitten identify objects that have been added or taken away from the supply closet and help Magenta finish one of her pictures or create one of their own.

The Land of Great Discovery keeps kids playing and playing and playing as they design their own personal world using painting and drawing tools and 400 pre-made stickers. They can also play the Blue's computer game (over 100 levels) in the clubhouse. Kids can even create their own computer game with up to 10 different customized levels.

Report and Conclusions:

Blue's Treasure Hunt has it all! It is entertaining and educational. As a parent of two children who both love Blue, but have three years between them, I was ecstatic to see that I could change the difficulty levels for the activities and make adjustments for each of my children. Parents can even adjust the difficulty level for entering clues into the Handy Dandy Notebook. I also appreciated that each child's progress is automatically saved upon exiting. It makes getting them to come to the dinner table much easier when they know they don't have to start all over unless they want to. :D

As far as my children are concerned, THEY LOVE IT!!! The program is worth every penny, a definite buy for any Blue's Clues fan!
