Technical Aspects

Loads and runs with no problems and was tested on two separate machines, one with Windows 95 and the other with Windows 98. The graphics and sound run smoothly with no hesitations or stutters. A Well-put together program and very educational.

Results and Conclusions: Let me begin by saying that I live in Canada and this program is definitely American, but this did not pose a problem. Driving a car is the same no matter where you live, you still need to know the basics about operating a vehicle. So, even if you live in Canada, don't stay away from the program because it is American based.

My son is 15 (will turn 16 in February) and all he talks about is getting his license! This program was a must for me to review and to have my son use, even though it took quite a while for me to get it from him so I could review it. He spent day after day going through the tests, both driving and written, to become more familiar with the aspect of driving. I know he has learned a lot from the program, but I still don't think as a mom I'm ready for him to get behind the wheel of a real vehicle. However, it gave him more information to prepare for his driving test than the little manuals we get from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

My experience with the program was a lot of laughs. I could not control the car with the keyboard and I was even worse with Analog Steering Wheel. Now, my son on the other hand experienced no problems and still can't understand why mom can't grasp it. No, I did not pass my driver's test, but not from lack of trying! If you can master the keyboard control or the steering wheel better than I, you really can benefit from this program.
