Description:

The difference between Dr. Seuss Kindergarten and Dr. Seuss Kindergarten Deluxe is not a mystery - the first package contains only the CD-ROM that is the game, ($20.00 US)and the latter adds a CD-ROM full of worksheet pages, flash cards and an alphabet stencil. The worksheets are delightful, and are probably worth the difference in price.

The story here is that Gerald McGrew is building a new zoo in Seussville and needs help! You'll travel to some wonderful places to meet creatures who may be interested in coming back to Seussville. As kids play through the games, they'll cover a full year of Kindergarten skills - over 250 lessons!

Technical Aspects:

No problems occurred during installation or runtime - smooth as silk here. Worked beautifully with Windows 95 Autoplay.

Report and Conclusions:

Dr. Seuss and Broderbund make a great combination, and this program proves it. My kids have had a great time playing with all their favorite characters and were delighted to see that various stories were well represented. This is one of those titles that kids will play over and over because they're having fun, but they're learning an amazing amount of material, as well.
