Technical Aspects:Installation was simple, although the Microsoft Encarta Reference Suite 2001 is a big program, it may take a bit of time to fully load (depending on the space in your computer). Once the first installation CD is installed, the other six CD's run automatically when put in the drive and no problems were found.
Report and Conclusions:The Microsoft Encarta Reference Suite 2001 is a "must have" in any home. It is brimming with unlimited information. I had always used the Microsoft Encarta Online, but the complete reference suite offers so much more that using the set along with the online version equals a phenomenal reference tool!I found it really neat to view the maps by my own customized choice. There are many ways to see the maps (i.e. globe or flat) as well as, looking at the different countries or cities by climate, physical features or even by languages. Teachers can use the Microsoft Encarta Reference Suite 2001 to prepare their lessons, parents can learn how to help with homework or check the curriculum expectations and children can get help on how to write a report or customize their own report. I honestly can't say enough about this program. There is so much to see and learn that I just sit and click away with no particular subject in mind. Each time I use the Microsoft Encarta Reference Suite 2001, I'm always amazed at what I've found or learnt. My children and myself always come away from it that much more knowledgeable! | ||||||||||||||||||||||
