Technical Aspects:We had no problems with the installation of this program, and there were no bugs or technical problems during our evaluation. Funnybone Interactive always brings a bit of jazz to the titles it develops, and the music, in particular, adds a great deal of fun. If you're wondering about Ready for School 1st Grade, take a look at the product box - it's an excellent indication of what's inside.
Report and Conclusions:My almost-5-year-old daughter has recently refused to work with any of the kindergarten programs we have! She wanted to play "something" on the computer, but has gotten very choosy, and I've finally realized why. The kindergarten programs she's played aren't challenging her enough. Once I put Ready for School 1st Grade on our system, she booted me out of the chair and took over. An hour and a half later, I had to force her away from it. I could tell that certain activities were beyond her, but watched her coming back to them over and over, figuring out a little more each time until she mastered them. This is a comprehensive program appropriate for ages 5 to 7. Expect them to learn about phonics, reading, vocabulary, addition and subtraction, science, writing, telling time, maps & directions and MUCH more. It's an excellent value, as well. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
