Description:

Children can explore elementary physics, chemistry and biology in I Love Science from DK Interactive Learning by using interactive experiments, playing simple games and reading about science principles.

Similar in design and graphics to other programs from DK, this program features 3 areas of science where kids can use experiments to answer questions, or just browse the content. The science covered is what kids will be learning in the lower elementary grades, like how to make a circuit, different stages of matter and what conditions plants need in order to grow.

Technical Aspects:

Installation was smooth with no problems. The graphics are nice and simple, and the interface is easy to use.

Report and Conclusions:

I Love Science is a bright, cheerful science program that presents kids with easily digestible chunks of knowledge. There are no gimmicks or flashy graphics to catch your attention, just science facts that kids can experiment with to answer the questions with no pressure.

The stated age range is 7-11, but most kids in grades 4-6th have moved beyond the simplistic definitions offered in this program. However, if you have kids in the grades 1-3, this is right on target for them with easily understood explanations accompanied by graphic examples. Best used as an educational product at school or home, rather than for amusement.
