I bet you thought what you know was the most important aspect of taking these tests--WRONG! As in Jeopardy, it's not the person who knows the most stuff necessarily, but the person who has the quickest reflexes and can calculate the odds on whether guessing is a good idea or not. Not only are academic skills important here, but knowing the best strategies for narrowing down the possible answers, what information is really important in a paragraph, and sundry other tips that most people are not aware of. Kids need to take one of the practice tests available, in order to compare the results with a later test reflecting their new-found test-taking skills. Users can list their goals, and the program will design a study plan for them. The tutorials are video-clips of real teens, presented in a no-nonsense manner with a touch of humor, that is sure to appeal to teens. The main parts of each tests are covered, as well as basic strategies and college information. Features:
Technical Aspects:This program was a snap to install, and offered no problems. The video clips were clear.Report and Conclusions:I believe this to be the best software program available for teens to help prepare for the SAT/PSAT/ACT tests. The program doesn't try to play games, or mask its purpose; what it does is use real teens to present the information in a positive way that will encourage teens to feel that they CAN take these tests, and that it's their test-taking skills that will give them an edge. Truly, a must-have for any teens who plan on taking these tests! | |||||||||||||||||||||||
