Magic 3D Coloring Book - Favorite PlacesReviewed by Cindy CaldwellPublished by IBM
Description:
In the Favorite Places package, the library categories consist of Around Town, Vehicles, Circus, Space, Fantasy, Dot to Dot, Color by Numbers and your own personal Scribble pad. Along with all the classic crayons and tools from the previous software, expect to find more fun and exciting ways to take your 3D coloring experience to a new level. Take a look at the Tips and Techniques section in the back of the CD insert and turn an ordinary picture into something completely amazing. Experiment with black and white crayons to change a picture from daytime into nighttime, a technique known as coloring in monochrome. This is just one sample of what is in store for you. So, have fun, be creative, and see if you can come up with a new technique of your own! At first glance, this title may look the same as the original 3D Coloring Book; however, it does have many new features and completely different selections from the library. Although the basic structures of the two titles are the same, the Favorite Places package has lots more pictures, more crayon colors and 25 texture tools. Wow!
Features:
Technical Aspects:With Auto Play, just drop the CD into the drive and you're off and coloring in no time. If your Auto Play is turned off, select Setup and the program will install with ease. There is nothing left to do but sit back and watch the children explore and create. Unless, of course, you want to join in the fun. After all, there is a little kid inside all of us!
Report and Conclusions:Known for their exceptional programming, Crayola has actually managed to improve upon a title that was already wonderful. As fast as they come up with new colors for the original crayons, Crayola updates their software to coincide. The only problem I can see with this title is that you must be prepared to go through lots of paper and printer ink. When purchasing this software, my best advice is to stop by your local computer store and purchase paper and an extra color ink cartridge. Oh, and don't forget to clear off the front of your refrigerator, so that you'll be ready to open your own personal Art Gallery! | ||||||||||||||||||||||
