Milton Bradley - Classic Board GamesReviewed by Cindy CaldwellPublished by Hasbro Interactive
Description:
Imagine just one CD-ROM with everything neatly organized for you. Pick a game to play and all the pieces are at your fingertips. Milton Bradley has taken the stress out of board games for you and put the fun back in. Sign in and select a character to represent you. Next, you are off to choose one of seven popular board games, how many players and the level of difficulty. Hey, nobody wants to play with you today? Well, that's OK--let the computer be your next opponent. The computer will always be willing to play a game with you, but it won't let you win without a little competition. There are four ways of playing the games if there is more than one player wanting to join in the fun. Hot Seat is the choice if you are all located at the same computer, and allows you to take turns sitting in the seat in front of the computer for your turn. Modem play allows you to set up over the Internet and interact with one other player. IPX Multiplayer will allow you to play over a local network and TCP/IP will allow multiplayers over the Internet. With so many different ways of playing you should have little difficulty in finding someone willing to play with you. Some games can go on and on before someone wins, and it is not always convenient to leave a board game set up until the next time you can play. Save your game in progress, with the knowledge that all the pieces will be in the same position you left them. Classic Board Games is a program for the whole family, from the youngest enthusiast to the board game fanatic. Fun can be had by all!!
Features:
Technical AspectsLoaded with ease on a system that met all the minimum requirements. Smooth audio and video. Results and Conclusions:We love board games in our house and it can become very competitive. I really enjoy a good game of Backgammon and found I could strengthen my strategy by playing against the computer before playing against other family members.Playing board games at the computer does not necessarily have to take away from the traditional sitting around the table either. The location may be differen,t but all the family fun is still intact. With something for every age group, this program will be around our house for a long time and will probably be found in the CD - ROM drive most of the time, not in the jewel case. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
