Description:

Hold on to your diapies, babies, cuz we're going racing! Get set for the silliest, wildest racing you have ever seen in Nicktoons Racing! The Nicktoons characters have each received an invitation from the "Mystery Rider" to race for the Krusty Krab Big Bun Award.

Depending on the particular race, you can choose your driver from these Nickelodeon shows: Rugrats (Tommy or Angelica), The Wild Thornberrys (Eliza or Darwin), SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob or Patrick Star), Hey Arnold! (Arnold or Helga), CatDog (the stars), Ren and Stimpy (Stimpy), The Angry Beavers (Daggett & Norbert), Aaahh!!! Real Monsters (Ickis), and last but not least, The Mystery Rider!

The power-ups in Nicktoons Racing add fun and laughter as Tommy's Talcum Powder is dropped behind a player. Any player driving into the powder will have a burst of powder covering them and slowing them down. (cough cough) When Ickis' Trashcan gets dropped on the track, anyone hitting the trashcan will soon have a trashcan covering his or her head and making steering difficult. Gooze causes a player to bounce back and forth like a rubber band while The Wild Thornberrys Totem Magic allows you to swipe your opponent's power-up before they can use it! Complete all the difficulty levels on a game in order to reveal bonus items.

Technical Aspects:

Game runs smoothly and installation was easy. This game does seem to eat up a lot of RAM during play. We have 128MB RAM on this computer and we needed to end any programs, including virus protection, that were running in the background prior to starting the game.

Report and Conclusions:

I absolutely loved racing Tommy (Rugrats). Tommy drives the Reptar Wagon and when he ran into something, through no fault of his own, he would look back over his shoulder before backing up. It was a riot. Other racers did this as well, but there is something said for a baby with good driving techniques. 8-D One thing to note, none of the characters wore a helmet nor can you tell if they were wearing seatbelts. My children did not seem to notice this as they were having way too much fun.

My children just loved Nicktoons Racing. The laughter increased as the power-ups were used and the racing got wilder and sillier. This game will appeal to a wide range of children because of the variety of characters available to race. Let Nicktoons Racing race into your home and be prepared for some wild and wacky racing!
