Description:

Painter Bear's Language Bridge can teach English/Spanish or Spanish/English (making it appropriate for use in the ESL classroom.) The main menu is very colorful and kids can choose what type of words to study. They will then be presented with a question and multiple choices for the answer. After 10 correct questions, the driving game is offered but it doesn't have to be done.

Technical Aspects:

We had no problems with running the software on a PowerBook with a G3 processor and OS 9.0. The speech is quite clear, and the 3D animation is very colorful.

Report and Conclusions:

This program provides a great way for kids to work on basic Spanish vocabulary at their own pace. The Teacher's Manual is also helpful for planning how to use these activities with students. The flexibility and versatility of this title means that it can be used in the classroom, for individual instruction or home schools.
