Give children their own personal coach who will take them step by step at their own pace. Aunt Ellen introduces new concepts to teach young children computer skills. The introductory screen presents you with three courses which break down into modules, each module has interactive lessons. The modules go over the topic which is covered in that particular course and then, to reinforce what is being learned, the student will be asked to complete various lessons.

Features:

  • Courses
  • Computer Literacy
  • Using Windows
  • Using Microsoft Word

Technical Aspects:

Insert the CD and autorun takes it from there. No installation needed. I could not locate any information on requirements for the program. It ran fine on my system P200, 80 MB RAM.

Report and Conclusions:

As a computer teacher for young children the idea of having a CD that covers computer basics was a concept way overdue. So when the CD arrived I was very excited and could not wait to open it up and test it. I was a little disappointed.

The graphics are great and the narrator is very clear and easy to follow, but I did find it a very dull. I guess being a computer teacher my curriculum is more interactive to capture the children's attention. So I decided to show it to other teachers that do not teach computers; with them, it went over very well.

In a classroom atmosphere and used more as the tutorial it is meant to be this program has great potential.
