Technical Aspects:

Installation was smooth for both the initial program and the Personalized Learning Center. The program ran smooth and the speech was clear.

Report and Conclusions:

My children have enjoyed playing Reader Rabbit Thinking Adventures. They got a big kick out of Reader Rabbit actually saying their names and also finding hidden notes addressed to them. Birthdays are an exciting time and Sam the Lion's birthday is no exception. My 5-year-old said "they have a lot of things to do to give a party". My children enjoyed the squirrels and birds that sang the directions to them and listened so carefully to the directions when they were sung instead of spoken.

I think the Personalized Learning Center (Deluxe 2-CD-ROM edition) is something that parents and teachers could use as an aid in determining the child's progress. Not only does it track up to 99 students, it also offers personalized printable workbooks based on the individual child's progress. You may also print off personalized reward certificates to give to the child as they achieve success with this program. I was especially fond of the capability to show other Reader Rabbit Personalized grade programs along with some of the Cluefinders titles, enabling an adult to follow the progress on each child. This would aid the parent or teacher in printing out worksheets that are based on the child's strengths and weaknesses.
